Saurav Ganguly wants to engage in cricket administration

Former Indian captain and left-handed stylish batsman, Sourav Ganguly, has declared that he is going to join in the cricket administration of Calcutta. Calcutta is this cricket star’s hometown also.
He said that, he has a hope that the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials would understand where he has come from. He also hopes that the CAB will welcome such interest of helping his own state to develop its cricket status to a completely new level.
While talking to a local newspaper, Ganguly remarked that, getting into the CAB will not be a hard task for him. He remembered that the CAB people knew him, since he was a kid.
There have been some rumors in the wind about Ganguly is going to take on his former adviser, and the running President of CAB, Jagmohan Dalmiya. During Ganguly’s captaincy, Dalmiya was the President of the BCCI. However, there was a sudden fallout between the two’s relation. Dalmiya’s own man, Ranbir Singh Mahendra had lost his presidential post to Sharad Pawar. This was followed by the dismissal of Ganguly as the captain.
Ganguly’s elder brother, Snehashish has said to a local media, Ganguly is not going to jump in the contest this year. But, eventually, he will get himself involved in the cricket administration.
